Experience
The Anatolian breakfast — known in Turkish as serpme kahvaltı — is one of the world's most celebrated culinary traditions. Far more than a morning meal, it's a ritual of generosity, community, and sensory pleasure. Spanning up to 30 small dishes, it invites everyone at the table to slow down, share, and savor together. In Turkey, a proper kahvaltı can last two hours or more — and no one rushes to leave.
In this hands-on workshop, your group prepares the full spread from scratch. You'll roll and toast simit (sesame ring bread), cook menemen — the classic Turkish scrambled egg dish with peppers and tomato — blend house-made muhammara and hummus, cure and present a selection of olives, and plate an array of regional cheeses, honey, clotted cream (kaymak), and seasonal jams. Each element is authentic, sourced from Turkish specialty suppliers wherever possible. Throughout the session, your facilitator shares the cultural context behind each dish — the region it comes from, the occasion it belongs to, the way it's traditionally eaten.
No cooking experience is needed. Our facilitators guide every step with warmth, cultural storytelling, and plenty of tastings along the way. By the end, your group sits down together to share everything you've made — a natural, delicious conclusion that makes this one of our most memorable group experiences.
